Famara's Black Buried Treasure

Bag It

Plastics are a common material for everyday use, mainly in disposable items. This is very convenient, but do you know where does all of that plastic end?
We have to reduce the plasic footprint the humankind is leaving in this planet, because it's damaging everything.
And that's why we are focused in ideas to reduce its impact.

1. There are lots of ways to promote plastic (and other materials, for that matter) recycling. For example, in Germany, plastic bottles cost some extra cents, which are returned when you do so with the bottle, avoiding it to get lost.
2. Imposing fees (or higher fees) on plastic bags so they're more expensive. Banning them altogether would be possible as well.
3. Imposing penalty fees for throwing litter away. In some places, doing so is already heavyly penalized.
4. Colleting the plastic from the seas and the beaches, to avoid it to cause any harm to animals or in any other way- and also avoiding the Island of Plastic to become even bigger.
5. Using boidegradable plastics. These are made up of corn or other proteins, and they desintegrate and leave no trace, being as unharmful as a sheet of paper.
